Bodega KonKylie: The Chillest Bar in Nordvest I Didn’t Know I Needed

I had walked past KonKylie Bodega countless times, always assuming it was just another smoky bodega—definitely not a place I was interested in. Man, was I wrong.

I finally ended up going when a friend suggested meeting there. Somewhere in the back of my mind, I had heard that it wasn’t at all what I had imagined, so I agreed—especially since it’s right in my neighborhood.

The moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by a warm, cozy atmosphere. The deep red tones, simple yet vibey decor, and overall chill ambiance made it instantly inviting. While the drink selection is limited, there’s something for everyone—but honestly, this place is more about the vibe than the drinks.

That night, I had the unexpected pleasure of witnessing @politemusic_’s first-ever concert. Her peaceful, heartfelt music filled the space while I sipped on a Mikkeller non-alcoholic beer, and the joy her and her band felt at performing for the first time, in front of their friends, family and strangers, was one of those rare, intimate moments that made the whole experience feel special.

It was only a few days later that I learned that KonKylie is actually a record label based in Nørrebro, focused on signing emerging Danish artists. I love seeing creative projects thrive in my own neighborhood, and the fact that this bodega is connected to that scene makes it even more special.

It turns out, I’ve had an amazing, laid-back hangout spot right next to home this entire time—and I never knew. Prices are very affordable too. Now, I’ve got a lot of lost time to make up for!
