Street Art & Graffiti in Nordvest

This is an organic, evolving map of our neighborhood's walls. New pieces pop up and old ones disappear constantly—if you spot something new on your weekend walk, DM me on Instagram to get it added! Nordvest's visual landscape is shaped by the community. When you use the map below, you’ll notice the neighborhood hosts a massive spectrum of urban art, ranging from institutional collaborations to underground statements.

These are a few of the ranges that we can see in our hood: Gadegalleriet (Rentemestervej & Møntmestervej) Curated alongside art collector Jens-Peter Brask, this project transformed massive apartment gables (belonging to housing associations like AB Mønten) into a public gallery so neighbors could look out at world-class art. Keep an eye out for iconic Danish figures like HuskMitNavn, who transitioned from raw '90s graffiti to globally recognized, humorous cartoon-style murals. More information on Gadegalleriet here. • The "Under Broen" Columns (Tagensvej Bridge / Bispebjerg Station) Right next to Bispebjerg Station sits a massive raw concrete canvas. This DIY skatepark zone, where the old train used to pass under the Tagensvej bridge, is covered in heavy graffiti, tags, and ever-changing pieces. It perfectly encapsulates the active community soul of NV—serving as a backdrop for kids of all ages practicing their skate tricks and the neighborhood throwing spontaneous daytime outdoor electronic parties. • The Thoravej Time Capsule (Miguel Baez) Look out for the vibrant, expressive pieces by local artist Miguel Baez on Thoravej. These walls are a true neighborhood milestone—he painted them all the way back in early 2013 (or maybe even before, but this is the earliest mention I can find of them), making them a long-standing staple of the NV landscape that has beautifully survived the test of time and graffiti shifts. More info on Miguel Baze here. • The S-Train Pop-Up (Nordvest Walls) Under the relatively new S-train track bridge, look out for the space that hosted the Nordvest Walls project. Unlike the permanent gables, this was a community initiative that unfortunately only lasting a few years, where the space was dedicated entirely to a single artist for a few months at a time. Now the latest painting has been covered in graffiti again, but checking it out might be worth it from time to time! Check out the Nordvest Walls Instagram here. • The Underground Voice (Spyo & The Streets) You cannot walk through NV without seeing large, black, block-letter poetry spray-painted high on walls. This is the work of Spyo, a street poet so beloved for his sarcastic, anti-system commentary that he was once voted "Copenhagen Citizen of the Year" by local readers. 🔍 A Quick Note from Me: This is just a starting point! I will be doing more research on the specific artists, backstories, and history of these walls whenever I can to keep adding depth to this guide. 📍 The Live Nordvest Street Art Map 👉 GOOGLE MAP How to use it: Open this link on your phone while you’re out walking. It will guide you street-by-street past the most famous gables, hidden courtyards, and local tags. Note: Click on the pins to see the photos I’ve uploaded of some of the spots!
